How Do I Get Instacash℠?

To request Instacash advances, tap Accounts on the Home screen of the MoneyLion App. You’ll find out in seconds if you qualify and how much you can get. There’s no interest, no monthly fee, and no credit check! Here’s more info on qualifying.

Your Instacash limit for each regular deposit period will typically be up to $250. You can unlock higher amounts by setting up direct deposits into a RoarMoneySM account, by signing up for a Credit Builder Plus membership, or by completing certain tasks in your MoneyLion App to qualify for Boosts. If you set up direct deposits into a RoarMoney account, you can unlock cash advances up to 30% of your anticipated recurring direct deposit amount per deposit period, up to a maximum of  $1000. So if you deposit $600, you’ll be eligible for up to $180 in Instacash. See here for more information about how to unlock access to increased Instacash limits. Your Instacash limit, including Boosts, will not exceed 50% of your anticipated recurring direct deposit amount per deposit period.

  1. Open the MoneyLion App and go to the Accounts tab.
  2. Tap the Instacash button at the top.
  3. Tap the Request button.
  4. Select the advance amount you want to receive. Advances must be taken out in predetermined increments based on your Instacash limit, typically in increments of $5 or $50. You will also be able to select whether to leave MoneyLion a “Tip”, and how quickly you would like the funds transferred to your account (for expedited delivery, we charge a Turbo Fee that will be disclosed to you within the App).

The amount of Instacash advances you received during the deposit period and any related Tips and Turbo Fees will be automatically deducted from your authorized payment account or debit card on the scheduled repayment date displayed to you in the App, with no interest. You can request another Instacash advance once you repay your previous advances and any related Tips and Turbo Fees.
