It serves approximately 4.3 million residential, commercial and industrial retail customers with electricity and natural gas. The Company operates through six segments. The Retail segment is engaged in its retail sales of electricity and natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers. The Texas segment is engaged in its electricity generation operations. The East segment is engaged in its electricity generation operations in the Eastern Interconnection of the United States electric grid. The West segment is engaged in its electricity generation operations. The Sunset segment is engaged in plants with announced retirement plans. The Asset Closure segment is engaged in the decommissioning and reclamation of retired plants and mines.
