Start out slow build yourself up if you can afford five 10 or $20 every time you get paid automatic let them take it out put it in a saving account you'll be surprised how if you get paid every week or if you get paid every two weeks or ever how you get paid starting out small with Bill up then if you can increase it then do it you won't get overwhelmed and you want me to miss that $5 $10 $20 good luck

Oh, I guess my comment is just to let you know you're not alone. Don't get it wrong. I'm not proud of not being able to but anyway good luck and take care and God bless.

Hi Bryan! I am so like you!! For some unknown reason I can't save money if my life depended on it too!! I try all the time to create an emergency fund, I've not bin successful at all. I applied for a credit card for emergencies & help my credit. As long as I don't spend more than 30% of my limit than I'm good but that's hard

Spare change each day. If your balance at end of day is 363.20 move 3.20 to your savings. Every bit helps. Some days will be more than others but this way it doesn't hurt and it builds faster than you think.

Yes start slowly with an amount you won’t miss. If you try to start with 40 a month and you can’t afford it you will keep pulling from it. Put in an account that you don’t see. I started w a roundup program. You be shock how fast saving the change builds up. I mean every 20 a month at end of a year is 240

A good high paying job
Turn on round up settings is by far the way to go
i use the albert app to save money automatically! it takes a percentage of what you have in your bank account (even a dollar) randomly through put the month and puts it in a savings account. you can remove that money when ever or just let it grow and check it once in awhile! ive saved over 400 so far 🙌🏻 and made each of my kids their own Christmas savings accounts!
I too have trouble saving but I found a high yield interest rate on an online savings account that has no minimum balance to get started. I have a monthly direct deposit to the savings account. That way, I can't miss what I don't have!!
I would invest rather than use a traditional savings account, for the exact same reason you stated.. this app even lets you double up on round-ups.. check it out
I'm going to be honest this app right here is the first time I've ever been able to save money!! Out of sight out of mind and you can have it set up to put a certain amount in there every time you add money to your account and every time you spend money you can have it rounded up and go to savings.. just saying I'm 42 and just now finally been able to save more than a 1,000 & have all bills paid and have two months of bills on stash.. all bases covered and emergency cover as best as humanly possible LOL.. just giving just a little piece of my info with this app and how it's been beneficial to me. Hopefully it's just as beneficial to you as it has been myself. 🙏🔥 🫡
Open a savings account with a close family member as an authorized user only. They can help you keep an eye on your spending - someone to hold you accountable for all withdrawals.
Start a round up account which is available on most credit cards
Cut out extra unnecessary expenses
You are not alone. My problem is I don’t have enough coming in. I was doing decent until Covid. The prices of everything has gone up so much. I agree with the person who said save money even if it’s just five a pay period. Just don’t touch it. If do the first time it will be the hardest. After that it will be easy to dip in
I started with a small about like 20 and worked my way up
I found it very helpful when you could get it taken out automatically from my checks.
