Do you think buying a house is really worth it?

These days.. buy land. Land and stay with your family. The greatest deception of the American capitalist consumerism propaganda, back starting post WW2, encouraged families to separate, kids go to college and incur lifetime debt. Producing consumers, not generational wealth builders. If families stick together, combine financial resources and become independent from the job market by starting a family business.. there would be a lot more success going around.

If you have the resource to pay, buying a home is an investment in an asset. Mark Twain was asked, "Why are you buying so much real estate?" His answer was simple, "Because they ain't making much more of it".

I think everyone who works hard to pay off or pay towards their debt should have land or a house. MoneyLion , MoneyLion 😸.🤑

Yes! Def my goal! Where I live majority of places to be rented out are ran by 1 company & I've done rented from them & had a bad experience & we have alot of slum lords too! So I'm tired of landlords telling me what I can & can't do even tho I'm living there & paying rent... Even tho you buy a house & something breaks it's up to you to pay to fix the issue you still have the freedom & final call of what goes on in the home & that in it's self is worth it!

Buying a house is only really worth it if you have a big family and need the space

That’s a loaded question with a ton of variables. Location, age, land, construction. Roof age,!finance rates, perceived value vs actual value and a bunch mi

If you can afford it, do it.

No especially if you may never own it with property taxes….🙄

If you rent you are paying off someone's m9rtgage etc.. and you get nothing to show for it.. if you buy it costs about the same but you own it and can sell it and get your money back that you have put into it..so what do you think ?

Definitely if bought at the right time and the right price

I believe there are pros and cons equal on each side of it. It just depends on what complacent with. In my opinion anyway.

I’m wrestling with the same question. I am 51 years old and trying to decide if I want to buy or rent. A 30 year mortgage at my age kind of says I’ll never be without a payment. So if I’ll never be free of a payment, then why not rent and leave the maintenance costs to someone else? I owned before when I was married and the costs of upkeep can really drain you financially. But with the real estate market the way it is right now, for an affordable monthly payment, I can buy a decent house for the same as I could rent a single bedroom rundown house or a studio apartment… I am still weighing pros and cons

Yes less monthly/annual payments, free will and no neighbors banging, shouting, bringing chaos or whatever else they bring with them, plus you can design it however you want and most importantly it would be yours.

Of course, investing on landed properties really worth given a trial but with expert in the field,

Not really. If you are a senior living alone, renting makes more sense because everything is done for you. You don't need to fix things.

Me and my wife just bought a house about 3 months ago. And I know this is not a real estate site or a construction feed but, a few pieces of advice for first-time buyers.... Yes I do believe that buying a home is definitely worth it. With the amount of money you put towards rent nowadays you might as well be paying a mortgage towards owning your home. However in owning your home you are responsible for all of the upkeep. Before buying a home a couple things to watch out for, first and foremost, polybutylene water pipes it's gray water line it has PB 2100 stamped on the side. They stopped making polybutylene pipe back in 1995ish because chlorine acts as acid to the stuff so water eats it from the inside out, I think that you can see the problem here. Second, your roof age and layer count. If your roof is under 25 years old it's still got some time but if you need to have it replaced and there are more than two layers on your roof just know that you must take into your budget that all of the roof layers will have to be peeled off before a new layer can be put on. I know this is a lot but hopefully it'll help some of you. Love, peace, and chicken grease! 🤙🏻

I don’t think so. What it cost for the upkeep is crazy

Absolutely. Better than paying off someone else’s mortgage. However, the con is you have to have a nest egg for expensive repairs.

Yes, I do and hope to purchase one day.
