I wish there was a way to save money in a separate account that you couldn't touch for a certain amount of time.

It sounds like you’re talking about a CD. Which as I am typing I see Amy, just said. Whichever bank you use right now should have that - THE ONLY SIDE NOTE IS YOU CAN’T ADD money to it. You can only put away an agreed-upon amount for a certain amount of time. Three months, six months, 12 months…. Have you ever thought of getting another bank account with no debit card? You can have automatic deposits like a portion of your paycheck or transfers from your current bank into the new bank with no debit card. This will give you less immediate access … even though you would still be able to touch it, it wouldn’t be as easy if you didn’t have a card to swipe or use to purchase online. Just a thought to help out the money community.

There is. It's called a 'Certificate of Deposit' or 'CD'. It locks down a certain amount for a specific time. Google CD & CD ladders for specifics. Good job on saving, keep it up!

An option is to have a certain amount to be deducted from you pay check into an account that you don't have a card for. Out of sight. Out of mind.

Some banks have a thing where you started at the beginning of the year and you can't touch it until the end of the year and deposit as much as you want you just can't touch it to the end of the year
Ask your bank if they do a holiday or vacation account. Which you put a little in each week until a set date or amount.
I’ll like to get more clarity on the juicywapjuiice part!
If you or anyone in your family was ever in the military you can open a CD with NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. You can start with a small amount AND they let you add funds whenever you want. The return rate won't get you rich but every penny helps.
Capital One Savings 360. Works find for me no debit card and you could only touch it with your routing and account number.
When I was 18 I had a few thousand placed into a CD account after my great grandmother passed. I’d suggest that but only if you can afford to have that money sit and gain interest over the course of 3-5 years
Save with Smarty Pig. You can get your money, but it takes about 4 days to get it. I have recurring money each paycheck being deposited to it. I have saved for almost 2 years and only withdrew one time. If I you have a goal to save for, it becomes a target for you to stick to it.
You are talking about getting a savings CD account. The banks can set that up for you
You gotta keep em' separated...
Can someone send me a boost please
