The Company operates through Kentucky Regulated Segment and Pennsylvania Regulated Segment. The Kentucky Regulated segment consists primarily of the regulated electricity generation, transmission and distribution operations conducted by Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company (LG&E and KU), as well as LG&E's regulated distribution and sale of natural gas. The Pennsylvania Regulated segment consists of PPL Electric Utilities Corporation (PPL Electric), which is a regulated public utility engaged in the distribution and transmission of electricity. PPL Electric delivers electricity to customers in counties within eastern and central Pennsylvania. The Company also provides electricity to retail customers.
