America's Richest School Districts

Families interested in having their children receive a quality education in a well-resourced school district, not surprisingly, must earn a substantial household income. A new MoneyLion study ranking the 50 wealthiest school districts in America reveals the average household income starts at $302,041 to access these affluent districts and can be as much as $619,839 to attend schools in the No. 1 ranking district.

To find America’s richest school districts, MoneyLion studied the 2024 American Community Survey's income data for unified school districts. We isolated the 50 richest districts in terms of average household income and included the median household income as supplemental data.
