Online shopping makes it easy and efficient to stock up on essentials, but convenience can come with a higher price tag. It's hard to pass up adding things to your Amazon cart, but those with a Costco membership might be better off shopping directly from the warehouse for certain food items.

While Amazon often sells many of the same everyday staples, including popular Kirkland Signature products, the cost difference can be surprising. For shoppers trying to give their grocery budget an immunity boost in this economy, understanding how much more you might spend online is essential.
