How Much Gas Has Increased in Every State in 2026

There’s nowhere in America you can go to escape increasing fuel costs. An iSeeCars study ranking states with the highest annual gas costs in 2026 reveals fuel prices have gone up by hundreds of dollars in every state. And in the case of one state, this uptick is now in the thousands.
According to their analysis, Wyoming experienced a $1,029 increase in gas costs from January to April. Within a four-month period, the annual fuel costs skyrocketed by more than $500 in 48 states. The only states where costs increased by less than $500 are Hawaii and New York.
