The Top 10 Hybrid Cars Getting the Most Road Time -- Are They Cost-Efficient?

As gas prices continue to go up around the world, drivers are looking to find vehicles that can take them where they need to go while cutting down on fuel expenses at the same time.

A 2026 study by iSeeCars ranked the top ten most-driven conventional hybrid cars, as well as found the annual miles driven on average versus the percentage comparatively. The analysis took odometer readings from over 2.1 million 3-year-old cars sold in 2025 in order to determine the average annual miles driven by drivetrain and model.

“Gasoline models still make up the majority of vehicles in the U.S., but these rankings suggest consumers who drive a lot have embraced the higher fuel efficiency of hybrids,” iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer shared with the study. “Hybrid market share has grown substantially over the past decade, and their high use rate suggests hybrids will remain a major part of the market over the next decade.”
