Used car shoppers may finally be seeing some relief, but not across every part of the market. A recent iSeeCars analysis found that overall used car prices fell 1.3% year over year in June, while used EV prices rose 7.4% over the same period.
“A shopper who delayed buying a used electric vehicle this spring may now face a noticeably higher price, even as the broader used car market remains flat or down,” Karl Brauer, executive analyst at iSeeCars, said in a statement. “While gas prices surged in March at the start of the Iran conflict, it took about a month of sustained high prices before used car shoppers shifted back toward EVs.”

EVs are not the only used vehicles getting more expensive, but Tesla stands out in the data. All four used Tesla models ranked among the 10 vehicles with the largest year-over-year price increases in June, led by the Tesla Model X, which rose 17.5%, or $9,066, to an average price of $60,950.
