What qualifications do you need to be a handyman?
Getting a job as a handyman doesn’t require formal education, and it’s the perfect job for those who like to learn as they go. You can learn while being employed and getting paid by more experienced contractors. It’s the perfect side hustle for those willing to jump in and learn the ropes of becoming a handyman.
Handyman vs contractor: what’s the difference?
A handyman is viewed as a general jack-of-all-trades who can do a little bit of everything. Typically, all of the tasks don’t require a specialist in the first place. For example, changing out a light fixture is the perfect task for a handyman whereas rewiring a house is best left to an electrician.
Becoming a handyman is a great idea if you’re looking for a job that pays a lot per hour.
